We are two retired teachers who have loved going to the
movies since we were kids. We also have a background in theatre and bring that experience to our reviews.
Not surprisingly, we use the A, B, C, style of grading.
We base our grades on the quality of the storytelling, the acting, and the filmmaking. First and foremost, however, we
consider the impact of the film--Does it make us laugh? Cry? Identify with the characters? Does it make us think? Does it
enlarge our world view? Does it add to our understanding of people?
